PASTA BAKE
List of Ingredients
- 1 CUP NONFAT RICOTTA CHEESE
- 2 TABLESPOONS CHOPPED FRESH BASIL
- 1/8 TEASPOON RED PEPPER FLAKES
- 1 CUP MARINARA SAUCE
- 2 NO-BAKE LASAGNA NOODLES
- 1 TABLESPOON GRATED PARMESAN CHEESE
- 1 WHOLE HEAD GARLIC
- 2 OUNCES ITALIAN BREAD
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 450°.
- STIR RICOTTA, BASIL AND PEPPER FLAKES IN BOWL.
- SPREAD 1/3 CUP MARINARA OVER BOTTOM OF AN 8 1/2 X 4 1/2" LOAF PAN. TOP WITH 1 NOODLE. SPREAD HALF OF THE RICOTTA MIXTURE ON NOODLE. TOP WITH ANOTHER NOODLE, 1/3 CUP MARINARA AND REMAINING RICOTTA MIXTURE. SPREAD 1/3 CUP MARINARA ON TOP AND SPRINKLE WITH PARMESAN.
- PLACE GARLIC IN A SMALL OVENPROOF DISH. BAKE GARLIC AND PASTA IN OVEN FOR 25 MINUTES. LET STAND 15 MINUTES. SERVE EACH PORTION WITH 1 OUNCE TOASTED ITALIAN BREAD THAT WAS SPREAD WITH GARLIC PULP TO TASTE.
