    I HAVE MADE THIS PIE OFTEN AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT IT IS DELICIOUS. IT ALMOST REMINDS ME OF THE ALMOND JOY CANDY BARS. I HAVE ON OCCASION ADDED CHOPPED ALMONDS. THIS RECIPE COMES FROM A SITE WHICH I BELONG TO.


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 OUNCES OF GERMAN SWEET CHOCOLATE
    • 1/4 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
    • 1 ( 13 OUNCE) EVAPORATED MILK
    • 1 1/3 CUPS ANGELFLAKE COCONUT
    • 3 SLIGHTLY BEATEN EGGS
    • 1/2 CUP SUGAR
    • 1 FROZEN UNBAKED 9" PIE SHELL


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 400°.
    2. MELT CHOCOLATE AND BUTTER OVER VERY LOW HEAT IN A SAUCEPAN, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. ADD MILK, COCONUT, EGGS AND SUGAR. STIR UNTIL INGREDIENTS ARE BLENDED WELL.
    3. POUR INTO PIE SHELL AND BAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES.
    4. COOL OR SERVE WARM WITH ICE CREAM OR COOL WHIP. STORE IN REFRIGERATOR.
