    List of Ingredients


    • 3 CUPS SUGAR
    • 1/2 POUND SOFTENED BUTTER
    • 7 EGGS, AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
    • 3 CUPS CAKE FLOUR SIFTED TWICE AND THEN MEASURED
    • 1 CUP WHIPPING CREAM
    • 2 TEASPOON VANILLA


    Instructions


    1. BUTTER AND FLOUR A 10" TUBE PAN. SET ASIDE
    2. BEAT BUTTER AND SUGAR UNTIL CREAMY. ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. ADD 1/2 OF THE FLOUR, ADD THE WHIPPING CREAM AND MIX, THEN ADD THE REMAINDER OF THE FLOUR MIXING WELL TO COMBINE. ADD THE VANILLA. MIXING WELL.
    3. POUR THE BATTER INTO PREPARED PAN.
    4. THIS IS GOING TO SOUND FUNNY, BUT FOLLOW AS INSTRUCTED. PLACE THE TUBE PAN IN A COLD OVEN AND TURN OVEN TO 350° AND BAKE 60 TO 70 MINUTES OR UNTIL CAKE TESTER INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN. COOL IN PAN 5 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM PAN AND COOL THOROUGHLY.
