    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 CUP COCOA
    • 1/4 CUP SUGAR
    • 1/4 CUP LIGHT CORN SYRUP
    • 1/4 CUP KHALUA
    • 1/4 CUP WATER
    • ********************************************************************************
    • 3/4 CUP MILK
    • 1 TABLESPOON VANILLA
    • 1 POUND SWEET BUTTER
    • 2 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
    • 6 LARGE EGGS, ROOM TEMPERATURE
    • 4 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1/4 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
    • ******************************************************************************
    • 4 OUNCES SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE
    • 4 TABLESPOONS UNSALTED BUTTER
    • 2 TABLESPOONS HEAVY CREAM
    • 2 TABLESPOONS KHALUA


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 300°. GREASE AND FLOUR 10" TUBE PAN. SET ASIDE.
    2. MAKE FUDGE:
    3. IN A SAUCEPAN, OVER LOW HEAT, MIX THE COCOA, SUGAR, LIGHT CORN SYRUP, KHALUA AND WATER. HEAT TO A BOILING OVER MEDIUM HEAT, STIRRING CONSTANTLY. COOL. SET ASIDE.
    4. MAKE CAKE:
    5. IN A SMALL GLASS MEASURING CUP, MIX MILK AND VANILLA. SET ASIDE.
    6. IN A LARGE MIXING BOWL AT HIGH SPEED, BEAT BUTTER AND SUGAR 3 MINUTES OR UNTIL FLUFFY. BEAT IN EGGS ONE AT AT TIME. ADD FLOUR IN 1/4'S ALTERNATELY WITH MILK/VANILLA MIXTURE IN 1/3'S BEGINNING AND ENDING WITH THE FLOUR.
    7. SPOON 1/3 OF THE BATTER, ABOUT 2 1/2 CUPS INTO A MEDIUM BOWL. STIR BAKING SODA INTO FUDGE MIXTURE, STIR INTO BATTER IN MEDIUM BOWL. POUR HALF OF THE REMAINING PLAN BATTER INTO TUBE PAN. TOP WITH FUDGE BATTER, ADD THEN REMAINING PLAN BATTER.
    8. BAKE 1 HOUR AND 40 MINUTES OR UNTIL TESTS DONE. COOL CAKE IN PAN ON WIRE RACK 15 MINUTES, INVERT ONTO RACK AND COMPLETELY COOL.
    9. MAKE GLAZE:
    10. IN FOOD PROCESSOR CHOP CHOCOLATE. IN A SAUCEPAN, HEAT BUTTER, CREAM AND HKALUA TO BOILING. WITH MOTOR RUNNING, SLOWLY POUR INTO CHOCOLATE, PROCESS UNTIL CHOCOLATE MELTS AND MIXTURE IS SMOOTH. COOL COMPLETELY. DRIZZLE OVER CAKE
