    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 CUP SHORTENING
    • 1 CUP BUTTER
    • 2 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
    • 2 TEASPOONS EXTRACT ( VANILLA, ALMOND LEMON ETC.)
    • 5 EGGS
    • 1 CUP 1/2 AND 1/2
    • 1/2 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
    • 3 CUPS CAKE FLOUR


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 300°. LIGHTLY GREASE AND FLOUR 9 OR 10" BUNDT PAN. SET ASIDE
    2. CREAM SHORTENING, BUTTER AND SUGAR TILL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ONE.
    3. BEAT IN EXTRACT OF YOUR CHOICE.
    4. IN A BOWL COMBINE THE BAKING POWDER AND CAKE FLOUR. ALTERNATELY STIR IN THE FLOUR MIXTURE WITH THE MILK INTO CREAMED MIXTURE, STARTING AND ENDING WITH FLOUR.
    5. POUR BATTER INTO PREPARED PAN AND BAKE FOR 1 TO 1 1/2 HOURS OR UNTIL CAKE TESTER COMES OUT CLEAN.
    6. NOTE: IF USING LEMON EXTRACT, ADD 1 TEASPOON FRESHLY GRATED LEMON RIND FOR EXTRA FLAVOR.

      IF USING ALMOND EXTRACT, ADD 1 TEASPOON FINELY GROUND ALMONDS. ( PLACE ALMONDS IN A FOOD PROCESSOR AND PROCESS UNTIL FINELY GROUND)
