PEANUT BUTTER POUND CAKE
List of Ingredients
- 2 CUPS SUGR
- 2 STICKS BUTTER OR MARGARINE
- 6 EGGS
- 2 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 3/4 CUPS CRUNCHY PEANUT BUTTER
- 2 CUPS FLOUR
- 1/3 CUP PEANUTS, FINELY CHOPPED
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. BUTTER AND FLOUR A 10" TUBE PAN. SET ASIDE
- CREAM SUGAR AND BUTTER OR MARGARINE. BEAT IN EGGS, ONE AT AT TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. ADD VANILLA. BLEND IN PEANUT BUTTER. ADD FLOUR, A LITTLE AT A TIME UNTIL WELL BLENDED AT LOW SPEED.
- POUR INTO PREPARED PAN AND BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES.
- LOWER OVEN TEMPERATURE TO 325° SPRINKLE TOP WITH PEANUTS AND CONTINUE BAKING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 MINUTES. OR UNTIL TESTER INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN. COOL 5 TO 10 MINUTES IN PAN. INVERT ONTO WIRE RACK AND COOL COMPLETELY.
