    PEANUT BUTTER POUND CAKE


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 CUPS SUGR
    • 2 STICKS BUTTER OR MARGARINE
    • 6 EGGS
    • 2 TEASPOON VANILLA
    • 3/4 CUPS CRUNCHY PEANUT BUTTER
    • 2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1/3 CUP PEANUTS, FINELY CHOPPED


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. BUTTER AND FLOUR A 10" TUBE PAN. SET ASIDE
    2. CREAM SUGAR AND BUTTER OR MARGARINE. BEAT IN EGGS, ONE AT AT TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. ADD VANILLA. BLEND IN PEANUT BUTTER. ADD FLOUR, A LITTLE AT A TIME UNTIL WELL BLENDED AT LOW SPEED.
    3. POUR INTO PREPARED PAN AND BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES.
    4. LOWER OVEN TEMPERATURE TO 325° SPRINKLE TOP WITH PEANUTS AND CONTINUE BAKING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 MINUTES. OR UNTIL TESTER INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN. COOL 5 TO 10 MINUTES IN PAN. INVERT ONTO WIRE RACK AND COOL COMPLETELY.
