    List of Ingredients


    • 1 STICK SWEET SOFTENED BUTTER
    • 3/4 CUPS SUGAR
    • 3 EGGS
    • 1 CUP CAKE FLOUR
    • 2 TABLESPOONS DRY MILK POWDEREDD
    • 1 TABLESPOON CORN SYRUP
    • JUICE OF HALF SMALL LEMON
    • 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
    • 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA
    • 1/4 TEASPOON NUTMEG, OPTIONAL
    • 1/2 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER


    Instructions


    1. PREHET OVEN TO 325°. GREASE LOAF PAN AND SET ASIDE.
    2. CREAM SUGAR AND BUTTER TOGETHER UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME AND BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ONE.
    3. ADD FLOUR, POWDERED MILK AND CORN SYRUP. BEATING WELL TO INCORPORATE ALL INGREDIENTS AND BATTER IS SMOOTH.
    4. ADD LEMON JUICE, SALT AND VANILLA. BEAT UNTIL SMOOTH AND BLENDED WELL.
    5. SPOON MIXTURE INTO LOAF PAN AND BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES OR WHEN TESTER COMES OUT CLEAN.
    6. WATCH CAREFULLY SO AS NOT TO OVER BAKE.
