SARA LEE'S POUND CAKE
List of Ingredients
- 1 STICK SWEET SOFTENED BUTTER
- 3/4 CUPS SUGAR
- 3 EGGS
- 1 CUP CAKE FLOUR
- 2 TABLESPOONS DRY MILK POWDEREDD
- 1 TABLESPOON CORN SYRUP
- JUICE OF HALF SMALL LEMON
- 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA
- 1/4 TEASPOON NUTMEG, OPTIONAL
- 1/2 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
Instructions
- PREHET OVEN TO 325°. GREASE LOAF PAN AND SET ASIDE.
- CREAM SUGAR AND BUTTER TOGETHER UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME AND BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ONE.
- ADD FLOUR, POWDERED MILK AND CORN SYRUP. BEATING WELL TO INCORPORATE ALL INGREDIENTS AND BATTER IS SMOOTH.
- ADD LEMON JUICE, SALT AND VANILLA. BEAT UNTIL SMOOTH AND BLENDED WELL.
- SPOON MIXTURE INTO LOAF PAN AND BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES OR WHEN TESTER COMES OUT CLEAN.
- WATCH CAREFULLY SO AS NOT TO OVER BAKE.
