BASIL TOMATO QUICHE
List of Ingredients
- 1 DEEP DISH FROZEN PIE CRUST
- 4 EGGS BEATEN
- 4 OUNCES SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE
- 1 CUP FETA CHEESE
- 2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER 3 PLUM TOMATOES
- 1 CUP MILK OR 1/2 AND 1/2
- SMALL ONION FINELY DICED
- D1 TABLESPOON FRESH BASIL
- 1 1/2 TEASPOONS DICED PIMENTOS, OPTIONAL
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 300°.
- PLACE PIE CRUST INTO OVEN AND BAKE FOR 5 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND SET ASIDE. RAISE OVEN TEMPERATURE TO 350°.
- IN A DOUBLE BOILER, MELT CREAM CHEESE, MILK AND BUTTER. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND ADD EGGS AND MIX WELL. ADD ONIONS. POUR INTO PIE CRUST. SPRINKLE WITH FETA CHEESE, PIMENTOS AND FRESH BASIL.
- BAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 45 TO 55 MINUTES OR UNTIL SET TOP WITH SLICES OF TOMATOES BEFORE SERVING.
