TOMATO ONION QUICHE
List of Ingredients
- 1 FROZEN PIE CRUST
- 1 CUP SLICED ONIONS
- 4 STRIPS BACON, COOKED CRISP AND DRAINED
- 1 CUP GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE
- 5 EGGS
- 3/4 CUP HALF AND HALF
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/4 TEASPOON BLACK PEPPER
- 1/8 OR PINCH OF GARLIC POWDER
- 3 TO 4 PLUM TOMATOES, SLICED THICK
- 1 TEASPOON ITALIAN SEASONING
- 1 GREEN PEPPER, THINLY SLICED ( OPTIONAL)
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
- COOK BACON UNTIL CRISP, DRAIN AND CRUMBLE. SET ASIDE
- SPREAD SLICED ONIONS OVER PIE CRUST. TOP WITH CRUMBLED BACON,GREEN PEPPERS AND CHEESE.
- PLACE EGGS, HALF AND HALF, SALT PEPPER AND GARLIC POWDER IN BLENDER AND BLEND UNTIL WELL MIXED.
- POUR EGG MIXTURE OVER PIE INGREDIENTS. CAREFULLY ARRANGE TOMATO SLICES ON TOP AND SPRINKLE WITH HERBS.
- BAKE FOR 30 TO 40 MINUTES, OR UNTIL FILLING IS SET. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND COOL ON WIRE RACK FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 15 MINUTES.
