HERBED RICE PILAF
List of Ingredients
- 2 CUPS UNCOOKED LONG GRAIN RICE
- 1 CUP CHOPPED CELERY
- 1/2 CUP CHOPPED ONION
- 1/4 CUP BUTTER
- 4 CUPS CHICKEN BROTH
- 1 TEASPOON WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
- 1/2 TEASPOON SOY SAUCE
- 1 TEASPOON DRIED OREGANO OR TO TASTE
- 1 TEASPOON DRIED THYME OR TO TASTE
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 325°.
- IN A SKILLET, SAUTE RICE, CELERY AND ONION IN BUTTER UNTIL THE RICE IS LIGHTLY BROWNED AND THE VEGETABLES ARE TENDER.
- SPOON INTO A G REASED 2 QUART CASSEROLE.
- COMBINE BROTH, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, SOY SAUCE, OREGANO AND THYME. POUR OVER RICE MIXTURE.
- COVER AND BAKE FOR 50 MINUTES OR UNTIL RICE IS DONE.
