- 1/2 GALLON PLUMS
- 1 CUP WATER
- 6 CUPS SUGAR
- 1 PINT VINEGAR
- 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
- 1 TEASPOON NUTMEG
- 1 TEASPOON GINGER
Instructions
- IN A LARGE POT, COMBINE PLUMS AND WATER. BRING TO A ROLLING BOIL, BOIL 5 MINUTES.
- POUR INTO COLANDER AND DRAIN.
- DUMP PULP AND SEEDS BACK INTO POT AND ADD SUGAR, VINEGAR AND SPICES. BRING BACK TO A BOILING. REDUCE HEAT TO LOW BOIL AND COOK FOR 30 MINUTES, STIRRING CONSTANTLY.
- POUR INTO JARS AND SEAL. ALLOW TO STAND OVERNIGH.
- YIELDS 3 TO 4 PINTS
