    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 3 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
    • 1 1/2 TEASPOONS GRATED LEMON PEEL ( 1 LEMON)
    • 1 1/2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
    • 1/4 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
    • 1/4 TEASPOON SALT
    • 6 TABLESPOONS CHILLED BUTTER CUT INTO PIECES
    • 9 TABLESPOONS WHIPPPING CREAM
    • 2 TABLESPOONS FRESH LEMON JUICE


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    2. IN FOOD PROCESSOR BOWL, MIX FLOUR, SUGAR, LEMON PEEL, BAKING POWDER, BAKING SODA AND SALT. PULSE A FEW TIMES TO BLEND INGREDIENTS. ADD BUTTER WITH THE ON AND OFF BUTTON PULSING TILL MIXTURE RESEMBLES COARSE MEAL.
    3. REMOVE MIXTURE INTO A BOWL. ADD 8 TABLESPOONS CREAM AND LEMON JUICE AND BLEND UNTIL SOFT MOIST DOUGH FORMS.
    4. DROP DOUGH BY 1/4 CUP FULL ONTO BAKING SHEET. BRUSH TOPS WITH REMAINING 1 TABLESPOON OF CREAM. SPRINKLE WITH 2 TABLESPOONS OF SUGAR.
    5. BAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 TO 25 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
