    PECANS AND CREAM CHEESE SCONES


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1/4 CUP SUGAR
    • 2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
    • 1 TEASPOON SALT
    • 3 TABLESPOONS BUTTER
    • 3 TABLESPOONS CREAM CHEESE
    • 2/3 CUP MILK
    • 1 EGG
    • 1/2 CUP MEDIUM CHOPPED PECANS


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    2. SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT IN A MEDIUM SIZE BOWL. CUT IN BUTTER AND CREAM CHEESE WITH A PASTRY BLENDER OR YOUR FINGERS UNTIL CRUMBLY.
    3. BEAT TOGETHER THE MILK AND EGG. POUR INTO DRY INGREDIENTS, STIRRING UNTIL WELL BLENDED. ADD PECANS AND COMBINE WITH DOUGH.
    4. WITH AN ICE CREAM SCOOP DROP ONTO A BUTTERED BAKING SHEET. BRUSH WITH MILK AND SPRINKLE WITH SOMESUGAR. BAKE 25 TO 30 MINUTES ORUNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. REMOVE FROM OVEN AND PLACE ON A WIRE RACK TO COOL.
