    List of Ingredients


    • 2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1/4 CUP SUGAR
    • 2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
    • 1 TEASPOON SALT
    • 3 TABLESLPOONS BUTTER
    • 3 TABLESPOONS CREAM CHEESE
    • 2/3 CUP MILK OR 1/2 AND 1/2 OR HEAVY CREAM
    • 1 EGG
    • 1/2 CUP CHOPPED PECANS


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°.
    2. SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT IN A LARGE BOWL. CUT BUTTER AND CREAM CHEESE INTO THE DRY INGREDIENTS UNTIL CRUMBLY WITH A PASTRY BLENDER OR WITH YOUR FINGERS.
    3. BEAT TOGETHER THE MILK AND EGG. POUR INTO THE DRY INGREDIENTS, STIRRING UNTIL WELL BLENDED. ADD PECANS AND COMBINE WITH DOUGH. SCOOP ONTO BUTTERED BAKING SHEET.
    4. BRUSH TOPS WITH SOME MILK. BAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 25 TO 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.
