List of Ingredients
- 2 CUPS SUGAR
- 1 1/2 CUPS WATER
- 2 CUPS MILK
- 2 CUPS HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM
- 1 1/2 CUPS ORANGE JUICE
- 1 CAN ( 12 OUNCE) EVAPORATED MILK
- 1/3 CUP LEMON JUICE
- 2 TEASPOONS GRATED ORANGE PEEL
- 6 DROPS RED FOOD COLORING, OPTIONAL
- 1/2 TEASPOON YELLOW FOOD COLORING, OPTIONAL
Instructions
- IN A SAUCEPAN OVER MEDIUM HEAT, BRING SUGAR AND WATER TO A BOIL, BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES. COOL COMPLETELY. ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS, MIXING WELL.
- POUR INTO A FROZEN CYLINDER OF AN ICE CREAM FREEZER, FREEZE ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER'S DIRECTION. REMOVE FROM FREEZER 10 MINUTES BEFORE SERVING. PLACE ANY LEFTOVERS IN FREEZER. 2 QUARTS.
