CARMEL BARS
List of Ingredients
- 1 PACKAGE WHITE CAKE MIX
- 1 CUP CARMEL SAUCE
- 2 EGGS
- 1/2 CUP OIL
- 1 CUP PECANS OR WALNUTS CHOPPEDD
- 2 TABLESPOONS WATER
- TOPPING:
- 2 CUPS CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR
- 4 TEASPOONS CARMEL SAUCE
- 1/2 CUP BUTTER
- 2 TABLESLPOONS MILK
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. LIGHTLY GREASE AND FLOUR A SHEET PAN 9 X 13".
- COMBINE THE CAKE MIX, CARMEL SAUCE, EGGS, OIL, NUTS AND HOT WATER UNTIL COMPLETELY MIXED.
- SPREAD MIXTURE INTO PREPARED PAN. BAKE 40 TO 60 MINUTES OR UNTIL CENTER IS FIRM. ( BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN THE EDGES, IF THAT HAPPENS, YOU CAN ALWAYS CUT THEM OFF). COOL ON A WIRE RACK.
- COMBINE THE CONFECTIONERS' SUGAR, CARMEL SAUCE, BUTTER AND MILK, MIXING WELL UNTIL SMOOTH.
- SPREAD ONTO COOLED BARS. CUT INTO SQUARES.
