List of Ingredients
- 1 2/3 BITTER SWEET BARS OF CHOCOLATE ( 3 OUNCE BAR)
- 6 TABLESPOON SWEET BUTTER
- 1 1/4 CUPS FLOUR, SIFTED BEFORE MEASURING
- 1/2 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 3/4 CUPS + 2 TABLESPOONS SUPERFINE SUGAR ( THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY PLACING SUGAR IN A FOOD PROCESSOR)
- 3 LARGE EGGS
- 1 CUP OF CHOPPED NUTS, YOUR CHOICE
Instructions
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°. GREASE AN 8" SQUARE BAKING PAN WITH SHORTENING AND LINED WITH WAX PAPER, GREASE AGAIN AND FLOUR. SET ASIDE.
- MELT CHOCOLATE AND BUTTER TOGETHER IN DOUBLE BOILER OVER SIMMERING WATER.
- IN A BOWL, WHISK TOGETHER THE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT AND SUGAR.
- GRADUALLY ADD DRY MIXTURE TO THE CHOCOLATE MIXTURE, EGGS AND NUTS AND MIX WELL.
- POUR BATTER INTO BAKING PAN AND BAKE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 TO 35 MINUTES.( THEY WILL STILL LOOK MOIST IN CENTER)
- LOOSEN FROM PAN AND INVERT ONTO A BAKING SHEET THAT HAS BEEN LIGHTLY GREASED. WHEN SLIGHTLY COOLED, CUT AND WRAP EACH PIECE IN PLASTIC.
