    CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 CUPS MILK
    • 2 TABLESPOONS FLOUR
    • 2 TABLESPOONS VEGETABLE OIL
    • 2 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
    • 2 CUPS COOKED CHICKEN, CHOPPED FINELY
    • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
    • 1/2 TEASPOON BLACK PEPPER
    • 1/2 TEASPOON GARLIC POWDER


    Instructions


    1. IN A 3 QUART SAUCEPAN, HEAT OIL. GRADUALLY STIR IN FLOUR. STIR UNTIL THICKENED.
    2. ADD CHICKEN TO WHITE SAUCE MIXTURE. ADD SUGAR, SALT, PEPPER AND GARLIC POWDER. MIX WELL AND SIMMER FOR 20 MINUTES OVER LOW HEAT.
    3. IF SOUP HAS NOT THICKENED AS YOU WANTED IT TO, MIX A SMALL AMOUNT OF CORNSTARCH WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER AND ADD TO SOUP AND SIMMER FOR 10 MINUTES.
    4. 4 TO 6 SERVINGS
