- 2 TABLELSPOONS FINELY CHOPPED GREEN ONION
- 1/4 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
- 1 LB CRABMEAT OR 2 ( 8 OUNCE) PACKAGES FLAKED STYLE IMITATION CRABMEAT
- 3 TABLESPOONS FLUR
- 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
- 1/2 TEASPOON WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
- 2 CUPS LIGHT CREAM OR HALF AND HALF
- 2 CUPS MILK
- 2 TABLESPOONS DRY SHERRY
- SLICED GREEN ONIONS
Instructions
- IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN, COOK THE FINELY CHOPPED GREEN ONION IN HOT BUTTER UNTIL TENDER. STIR IN CRABMEMAT. STIR IN FLOUR, SALT AND WORCESTERSHIRE.
- ADD LIGHT CREAM OR HALF AND HALF ALL AT ONCE. COOK AND STIR OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL THICKENED AND BUBBLY.
- COOK AND STIR FOR 1 MINUTE LONGER. STIR IN MILK AND SHERRY, HEAT THROUGHLY.
- TOP EACH SERVING WITH SLICED GREEN ONION.
