    Really easy homemade apple pie

    Recipe Introduction


    I made this one day when I had some extra apples and it turned out great!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 frozen pie crusts
    • 6 small apples
    • 3/4 cup water
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon
    • about 2 tablespoons cornstarch--for thickening


    Instructions


    1. Thaw pie crusts.

    2. Peel and cut up apples into bite size pieces.

    3. Place apples, brown sugar, water, & cinnamon in a pot and cook on low until boiling.

    4. Boil for 3 minutes stirring constantly.

    5. While still boiling, add cornstarch by the TEASPOON full. Keep adding cornstarch & stirring until thickened.--should be consistancy of canned pie filling.

    6. Pour into piecrust.

    7. Place other crust on top and cut a slit on top.

    8. Sprinkle with white sugar and bake at 350* for about 30 minutes or until golden.



    Final Comments


    Being the frugal mom that I am, I used the greater value brand pie crusts and it tasted GREAT!!!
