    EASY SHEPARDS PIE

    I once made the 'from scratch' version of this dish. It was great but VERY time consuming. This is my 'easy' version & it tastes great.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 can armour beef stew.
    • 2 cups prepared instant or fresh mashed potatoes
    • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or american cheese
    • salt & pepper
    • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 9 inch deep dish pie crust


    Instructions


    1. Take out pie crust.
    2. Pour in stew.
    3. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the stew.
    4. Sprinkle with salt & pepper & garlic powder.
    5. Bake, uncovered, at 350* for about 30-40 minutes or until stew is bubbley.
    6. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for about 10 more minutes until melted.


    Final Comments


    You may double the recipe and make 2. Top with heavy duty foil and freeze one for another meal later.
