MY FAVORITE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
This is by far the best recipe for chocolate chip cookies I've made. I got the recipe off of a crisco can, so I cannot take credit for it. But trust me, they are scrumptious!
List of Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter flavor crisco
- 1-1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 tblsp milk
- 1 tblsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1-3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans(optional)
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375*. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies.
- Combine crisco, sugar, mile and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
- Combine flour, salt and soda. Mix into creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecan pieces.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11-13 minutes for crisp cookies. DO NOT OVERBAKE!
- Remove cookies to foil to cool completely.
Final Comments
This makes about 3 dozen.
