    Wilderness Hash

    1/2 pound bacon, diced
    2 pounds hamburger
    1 large onion
    1 cup (1 pint) water
    2 (16 ounce) cans kidney beans
    Salt and pepper

    Fry bacon until crisp. Pour off bacon drippings. Combine all ingredients in coffee can. Cook in coals, uncovered.
