Chocolate Butter Brickle
Saltine or cinnamon graham crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 (12 ounce) package milk chocolate or
semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped, toasted nuts, optional
Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Place crackers side by side over entire cookie sheet.
Combine butter and brown sugar in saucepan and bring to a boil; boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour cooked sugar mixture over crackers and bake for 5 minutes in a 400 degree F oven. Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips (and nuts, if desired); spread with spatula. Refrigerate until cool.
Break candy into pieces. Store in airtight container.
