Southern Pecan Pie

1 cup sugar
½ cup white corn syrup
¼ cup butter
1 Tbsp vinegar
3 eggs
1 cup pecans, chopped or halved
¼ tsp allspice
¼ tsp nutmeg
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, corn syrup, butter and vinegar in saucepan. Heat to boiling and boil for 1 minute. Cool slightly and then stir in eggs with a fork (don’t beat – just stir). Stir in nuts, allspice and nutmeg. Pour into pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes. Lower temp to 300 degrees and bake for another 35 minutes. Cool thoroughly.
