    Poorboy Italian Beef

    List of Ingredients




    3 or 4 lb. beef rump roast
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2-1/2 cups water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. parsley flakes
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 bay leaf
    1 package Italian salad dressing mix

    Recipe



    Place roast in crock pot

    In saucepan, combine all other ingredients and cook over medium-high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Pour over roast and cook on high for 6 to 8 hours.

    About an hour before serving, shred meat and put back in juice in crock pot.

    Serve on "poorboy buns" or French bread.
