1 tbsp/15 mL olive oil
1cup/250 mL onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup/250mL favourite barbequesauce
3/4 cup/175 mL tomato ketchup
1/4 cup/50 mL cider vinegar
1/4 cup/50 mL brown sugar
2 tbsp/30 mL Dijon mustard
2 tbsp/30 mL Worcestershire sauce

Procedure
In a saucepan, heat oil. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened but not browned. Add barbeque sauce, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
Stirring constanctly, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
Cover and refrigerate.
Sauce keeps well in refrigerator for several weeks.
