Congo cookies
2/3 c Butter 1 lb Brown Sugar
3 Eggs 1 tsp Vanilla
2 3/4 c Flour 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt 1 pkg Milk Chocolate Chips
1 c Chopped Nuts (optional) Chocolate Fudge Icing
Melt butter & mix with brown sugar. In separate bowl beat eggs & vanilla & add sugar mixture. Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing thoroughly. Add the chocolate chips & nuts. Mix well. Spread into a greased oblong pan. Bake @ 350o for 25 - 30 min, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Let cool completely & top with chocolate icing.
