Fried Tomatoes with Mushroom Sauce

Recipe Introduction
Serves 6 (scant 1/2 cup). 2 pts. per serving.
List of Ingredients
- 6 T. flour
- 1/4 tsp. lemon pepper
- 4 fresh medium red tomatoes, sliced
- 1 T. + 1 tsp. reduced-calorie margarine
- 1 (10-3/4-oz.) can RF low sodium Cream of Mushroom soup
- 1 T. fresh basil, chopped or 1 tsp. dried basil
Instructions
- In a saucer, combine flour and lemon pepper. Dip tomato slices in flour mixture.
- Melt margarine in a large skillet. Place tomato slices in skillet. Cook tomatoes over low heat until lightly browned on both sides. Remove to a heated platter.
- Stir mushroom soup and basil into skillet. Heat. pour sauce over tomatoes. Serve immediately.
