    I got this recipe from John CO at the recipe exchange at That Home Site Forum

    2 cups cooked chicken, pork, or beef, shredded or chopped fine
    12 corn tortillas
    oil for frying

    Place 1 tablespoon of the filling across the bottom of each tortilla. Roll up tightly
    and secure with a toothpick.

    Heat a large frying pan with about 1 inch of oil. Heat should be about 350o F.
    Fry flautas, turning as needed, until golden brown, (this takes about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes).
    Tortilla should be crisp and not soft. Remove to paper towels to drain. Remove toothpicks before serving.
