1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or marg.
1 cup buttermilk or sour cream
3 1/2 to 4 cups of flour
1 egg beaten
1 tsp soda
1/2 cup blk walnuts

Mix as a cake, bake in a greased and floured long sheetcake pan in a mod oven (350) until done about 25 minutes...just test with a
tooth pick. Cut in strips 1 1/2 to 3 inches long and dry in a slow oven until light brown. I remove the strips and put on two cookie sheets
to dry.
