    Raspberry Swirl Bars

    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 eggs
    1 cup flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    3 tablespoons raspberry preserves


    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate chips and butter in 2-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth, 5 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and vanilla. Stir in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in flour and salt and mix just until flour is moistened.

    Spread batter into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Drop spoonfuls of preserves on batter in the corners and around edge of pan. Gently pull knife through batter and preserves toward center for swirled effect. Do not over swirl. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until brownies just begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely. Cut into 20 bars.
