Gingersnaps
List of Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark molasses (or thick syrup like Karo Dark)
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teas. salt
1 teas. cinnamon
1 teas. baking soda
1 teas. cloves
1 teas. ginger
Melt butter and add rest of ingredients. Make balls the size of large marbles. Roll in additional sugar ('raw' sugar works great!). Bake on lightly greased cookie sheets 7 minutes at 375 degrees. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Makes about 8 dozen. Recipe
