1 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 medium pears, peeled, cored and sliced (about 2 cups)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 8 ounce carton sour cream
Grease a 9-inch springform pan; set aside. Combine pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon. For topping, combine 3/4 cup of the pecan mixture, the 1/3 cup flour, and 1/4 cup butter; set aside.
Toss pears with lemon juice; set aside. Combine the 1 3/4 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl; set aside.
In a large bowl, beat 1/2 cup of butter with an electri mixer on medium to high speed for about 30 seconds. Add granulated sugar and vanilla; beat until combined. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately to beaten mixture. Beat on low speed after each addition, just until combined.
Spread two thirds of the batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with reserved nut mixture. Arrange pears evenly over the top. Spread remaining batter over pears. Sprinkle with topping. Bake in a 350 degree over for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Remove side of springform pan. Cool 30 minutes more before serving. Serves 12Recipe
