Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce

List of Ingredients
5 or 6 slices of white bread
1/2 cup butter (more if needed)
2 cups cream (Can be made with milk)
5 eggs
pinch of salt
1 cup sugar
vanilla (Real)
Cut crusts of bread and butter generously.
Place bread slices in a buttered ovenproof dish
Beat sugar with eggs and add cream/milk salt and vanilla.
Pour over bread and push with a fork to help bread absorb.
Sprinkle with sugar.
(At this point you can refrigerate and bake later) or
Place bowl in Bain Marie (Pan with hot water) and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
Serve with Caramel Sauce
1Cup Butter
1Cup Brown Sugar
1Cup White Sugar
1Cup of Whipping/Heavy Cream
Vanilla
Bring the ingredients to a boil and simmer for 7 or 8 minutes. Remove from heat and add some vanilla. This sauce is great on Gingerbread, Apple Pie, etc.
