    Apple Cider Ceddar Fondue

    List of Ingredients




    4 cups (about 1 lb) sharp Cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
    1-1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
    1-1/4 cups apple cider
    1/4 tsp lemon juice
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
    1/8 tsp ground nutmeg



    Recipe



    1.In a medium size bowl, toss the cheese with the cornstarch.

    2.In a medium-sized, heavy bottom saucepan, heat the cider and lemon juice over medium heat until simmering. Add cheese, one handful at a time, stirring well after each handful until cheese is melted. When all cheese has been added, stir in salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper to taste. Cook over LOW heat until thickened, about 3 to 5 min.

    3.Transfer to a fondue or serving pot to keep warm. Serve immediately with pieces of crusty french bread, apple wedges or cooked sausages.
