    Nanny's Famous Popcorn Balls

    List of Ingredients

    2 quarts popped popcorn
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. light corn syrup
    1/3 c. water
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/2 t. salt
    1 t. vanilla

Keep the popcorn warm in a 200 degree oven while making the syrup.
In a 2 quart heavy saucepan, stir together sugar, corn syrup, water, butter, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring
constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking without stirring until the temperature reaches 270 degrees.
Remove from the heat. Stir in vanilla,
slowly pour over the popped corn, stirring to coat it evenly. I use a big wooden spoon. Cool slightly...just enough to handle. ( I
grease my hands with margaring and dip them quickly in cold water, shake off the excess water) Shape into 12 medium size
balls. I usually wrap them individually in plastic wrap.
Enjoy!! I always have to make about 6 batches of these during the Halloween season.
