    Broccoli Cassarole

    List of Ingredients




    2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained very well
    1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
    4 Tablespoon butter or margarine
    2 Tablespoon flour
    1/2 cup water
    1 (8 oz.) jar Cheese Whiz
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 cup coarse cracker crumbs or dry bread crumbs
    2 Tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

    Sauté the onion in the 4 T. butter until softened. Stir in the flour and add the water. Cook over low heat, stirring
    constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Blend in the Cheese Whiz. Combine the sauce with the well
    drained broccoli and add the beaten eggs. Mix until well blended. Pour into a greased 1-1/2 quart casserole. Combine
    the 2 T. melted butter with the crumbs and sprinkle over the top. Bake at 325 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until set in
    the center. Makes 8 servings.
