Soft Pretzels

List of Ingredients
1-1/2 cups warm water
1 envelope dry yeast
3/4 t. salt
1/2 t. sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
4 cups flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
Kosher salt
Recipe
Place the warm water in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle the yeast over the water and allow to soften for 5 minutes. Add the salt, sugar and butter and mix well. Stir in the flour and knead to make a smooth dough. Do not let the dough rise! Immediately cut the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into 1/2 inch thick strips. Twist the dough into pretzel shapes.(or whatever shape you like!)
Place the pretzels on foil-lined cookie sheets. Brush each pretzel with the beaten egg and sprinkle with salt. Bake at 400 degrees F for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
