Quick Maple BBQ Sauce and Dry Rub

Quick Maple Barbecue Sauce
1/2 c cider vinegar (I've used red wine as well.)
1 c ketchup
1/4 c brown sugar
2 T dry mustard (prepared works when all the dry disappears.) :o)
1/4 c maple syrup
2 T worcestershire
2 t smoked paprika
1/2 t cayenne
1/2 t fresh ground pepper
1 t kosher salt
Combine in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer 15-20 minutes until thickened.
Yields approx: 2 1/2 cups
~I make a half batch all the time! But it seems to store well in the fridge in a canning jar for a few weeks.
Smokey Barbecue Dry Rub
2 t smoked paprika
2 t kosher salt
1 T sugar (I use Raw.)
1/2 t freshly ground pepper
1/2 t cumin
1 t garlic powder
1/2 t chile powder
1/2 t cayenne pepper
Blend together.
Makes 3 Tablespoons
~I quadruple the batch and store in a spice tin.
