Tropical Margaritas

1 46 ounce can pineapple juice, divided
1/2 cup tequila
1/4 cup triple sec
1/4 cup banana liqueur
sugar
In a large pitcher, combine pineapple juice, reserving 1/4 cup, tequila, triple sec and banana liqueur; chill
Dip rim of glasses in reserved juice. Dip in sugar to coat, if desired. Fill glasses with crushed ice; pour margarita over.
