Maple Nut Yeast Rolls

1 pkg. dry yeast (dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water)
2 1/4 cups flour
2 Tblsp. Maple Sugar (could use white sugar if you do not have maple)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup butter
1 cup milk (scalded)
1 egg (beaten)
Recipe
Dissolve yeast in water. Scald milk and cool to lukewarm. Add egg. When lukewarm, add yeast mixture. Sift dry ingredients and cut in butter. Add milk mixture and stir. Turn out on well-floured board. Roll out like a jelly roll. Spread with the following:
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup maple sugar (add a dash of maple syrup)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Roll. Cut in 1" slices. Let rise in warm place (about 45 min) until doubled in size. Bake 10 minutes or until
