BUTTERMILK PECAN PIE

1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 t. vanilla
3 eggs
3 T. flour
1/4 t. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preheat over to 350. C ream butter and sugar, adding sugar 1/2 c. at a time, add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time. Combine flour and salt and add small amount at a time alternating with buttermilk. Sprinkle pecans on bottom of unbaked pie shell. Pour custard mixture over pecans. Bake 90 minutes.
It is best served at room temperature.
