PEAR CARDAMON BREAD

1/2 c. softened butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. ground cardamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. plain yogurt or buttermilk
1 c. chopped pears, not peeled or canned
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with yogurt. Stir in pears and vanilla. Bake in a loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
