1/2 cup(1 stick)salted butter, at room temp.
1 pound Sharp shredded Chedder cheese, at room temp.
1 & 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Recipe
Preheat oven to 300. In mixing bowl,cream the butter until light and fluffy.Add cheese and mix until blended. Add the flour,paprika and cayenne, and mix to form a dough. Refrigerate for 30 mins. to firm up the dough, then place it in a cookie press, fitted with a star shape die.Pipe the dough in 2 inch strips onto lightly greased cookie sheet. OR spread dough out until about 1/2 inch thick and cut into 1/2 inch long strips. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to racks to cool.
