Pecan Pie
List of Ingredients
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cup teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped or vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325.
- In saucepan combine sugar, salt and corn syrup.
- Simmer until sugar dissolves.
- Meanwhile, beat eggs foamy.
- Stir butter,vanilla and pecan into syrup.
- Add eggs: turn into pie shell.
- Bake 40 mins.; cook; refrigerate.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
