Bicentennial Tea Cakes
Makes 90 to 100 cookies
List of Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
Instructions
- Cream sugar and butter. Add extracts. Add eggs and
beat until smooth.
- Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Stir in to the creamed mixture and work together well.
- Make small balls of dough and flatten out on a greased cookie sheet and crisscross with a fork.
- Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
