Hot Brown Tart-Sugar Free
List of Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups half and half
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup cooked turkey breast meat, chopped
- 1/2 grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 grated parmesan cheese
- 2 small tomatoes sliced thinly
- 4 slices bacon, cooked till crisp, then crumbled
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Line a nine-inch tart pan with pastry dough.
- Bake the pastry blindly for 5-10 minutes until done & barely golden, but NOT brown.
- Beat the eggs, combined with the half and half, salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Place the turkey meat on the bottom of the tart crust. Spread the grated cheddar over the turkey.
- Then, pour the egg/cream mixture over the cheese, then
lay the tomatoes on top of the egg/cream mixture.
- Top with the bacon and then parmesan.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F.
- After 10 minutes, lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake 30 more minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- The top should be brown and crusty.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
