Beef Taco Ring

Recipe Introduction
This can be made with soy protein instead of ground beef for vegetarians.
List of Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs of lean ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tbsp water
1 egg white
2 (8oz) pkgs refrigerated crescent rollsRecipe
Preheat oven to 375. Cook ground beef in large skillet over medium heat
10-12 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles; drain.
Stir in taco seasoning mix, 1 1/2 c. of cheese and water.
Unroll crescent rolls; separate into 16 triangles. Arrange triangles, slightly overlapping, in a circle on large pizza pan or stone with wide
ends 4 inches from edge of pan. Roll wide end toward center to create 5"
opening.
Scoop filling evenly over dough in a continuous circle.
Bring points of triangles up over filling and tuck under dough at center
to form a ring.
Brush with egg white and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Bake 25-30 min or until golden brown
Garnish center of ring with salsa, sour cream, shredded lettuce, tomato,
sliced olives etc.
Serves 4-6
