    Texas BBQ Sauce

    Source of Recipe

    Naola

    Recipe Introduction

    Origins Unknown

    List of Ingredients

1 cup water (add last because may not need or need less)
1 cup ketchup (use tomato puree)
1/2 cup cider vinegar (rice or pineapple or nothing)
    1/4 cup minced onion
    3 stalks celery, chopped
    3 Tbls GF Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbls spicy mustard (or dry mustard powder)
    2 Tbls honey
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tblsp garlic powder)
1 gf beef bullion cube (I don't use this either)
    1 Tbls paprika
    2 tsp chili powder
    salt and pepper to taste

    Recipe

Place all ingredients (except water) and puree until well blended.

If sauce is too thick add water a Tbls at a time and blend until you reach the desired consistency.

Naola's Notes: I start with tomato puree (my own) and I would puree everything in the food processor as well. I prefer fresh ingredients. I prefer the Texas BBQ sauce because I like dry mustard and chili powder and Worchester in mine.
